FAQ
There are a variety of bodywork techniques.  Here's a brief description of
those that I can provide for you:

Swedish Massage:  The most common form of massage, Swedish mainly
relaxes the muscles and eases aches and pains.

Deep Tissue:  Techniques that utilize deep muscle massage by working
on the deeper muscle layers, that can help with chronic muscular pain and
injury rehabilitation.

Sports Massage:  For the athlete, sports massage techniques are utilized
at all stages:  pre-event, post-event, during training, and to expedite
rehabilitation after injury.

Chair Massage:  Massage treatment where the client is in a prone, seated
position, fully-clothed, with no oils used.  The treatment usually lasts from
10-15 minutes, but can vary, depending on client preference.

The Benefits of Massage and Bodywork:

Studies have shown that massage:

  • Decreases Stress and Muscular Tension

    Injuries

  • Reduces blood pressure.

Who Are You?  What Are Your Qualifications?

I am a nationally-, and NJ state board certified  professional massage
therapist, trained in Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Sports Massage with four
years of experience in the field.  I have experience with Chair Massage as
well.

Are There Any Medical Conditions That Would Make Massage or Bodywork
Inadvisable?

Yes.  That's why it's imperative that before you begin your session that you
inform me of any health problems or medications you are taking.  If you are
under a doctor's care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written
recommendation for massage or bodywork prior to any session.  In some
cases, I may need your doctor's permission before providing services.

Must I Be Completely Undressed?

To guarantee your privacy, I will leave the room, and you may undress to
your level of comfort, before getting onto the table.  Most of my clients
prefer to be totally unclothed, though you are welcome to undress to your
own level of comfort.  Note that your entire body will be draped.  I will only
expose the area I am working on.

What Parts of My Body Will Be Massaged?

A typical full body massage consists of work done on the back neck and
shoulders, arms and hands, legs, and feet.
